If you know me, you KNOW how much I love Starbucks. And if YOU love Starbucks then you also know how expensive it is to go there every single day… after day… after day…. Around the holidays when I am not in the mood for coffee (very, very, very, very rarely am I in that mood) or just something different I love this drink. It screams so many things at once. You have your hot chocolate, the creamy whipped cream and the buttery caramel sauce. OHHHH MY! My oldest son and I love to get these and relax a bit from the madness of Christmas shopping. I searched online to try to find a recipe for this so we could make it at home ANYTIME we want it. I found a few that I tried out and in my opinion this one is pretty spot on (and cheaper!) I made a salted caramel sauce recently so if you do not know how to make it, or just don’t want store bought I will share the link to the salted caramel sauce that I made. Hope you enjoy!
Copycat “Starbucks Salted Hot Chocolate” (adapted from savorysweetlife)
- 3 tablespoons Caramel syrup, heated to luke warm
- Hot Chocolate (4 tablespoons of ganache plus 6 oz. of milk, heated) *if you don’t have time to make the ganache use the BEST quality hot chocolate mix you can get. Ghirardelli makes a really yummy one!

- Pinch of Medium Coarse Sea Salt
